Certified Dental Assistant

Phyllis Dettmer joined our team in January of 2023 and has already made a great impact – fixing dental equipment and saving a colleague from being stranded. She holds many years in the dental assistant role, which has made the transition into our office flawless. She knows the ins and outs of the dental exam room, and takes exceptional care of patients.

Originally from the state of Utah, Phyllis has spent most of her adult life in the less mountainous terrain of Northeast Indiana. She brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and skills to help us level up our services.

Phyllis has showed such willingness to help out in every aspect of the office. You may find her greeting patients at the front or in a treatment room assisting Dr. Hale. She is a team player through and through. Recently, she jumped at the opportunity to save a fellow teammate after getting a flat tire on the way to work. Her ambition to do good is unparalleled.

She is super handy, already installing foot pulls on our sterilization doors—A move that is sure to help reduce the awkwardness of opening the door with unsterile instruments in tow. We are so proud to have someone who knows how to take a perfect dental X-Ray and fix it if it needs service, too!

Phyllis is a married mother of three with a love for the outdoors, camping, and spending time with her family. She boasts that life is too short to be miserable, which is one of the reasons she found a new opportunity with us.
