Meet Chrissy Stephan, Dental Hygienist
Chrissy joined our team in the Fall of 2024 as a dedicated member of our dental hygiene team. Originally from Fort Wayne, Chrissy has lived in various places, including Lafayette, Indiana, North Carolina, and Texas, before returning to Fort Wayne during her high school years.
Chrissy’s journey in dentistry started when she was very young, and she jokes about being a “child prodigy” because of her early start. Her main goal as a hygienist is to make sure all her patients are well-informed about their oral health.
Chrissy has made significant contributions to the community outside of private dental offices. She currently teaches a Medical Emergencies Course at the local IU School of Dental Hygiene program. Previously, she has worked as the Dental Hygiene Coordinator at Matthew 25 Healthcare for seven years and served as the Director of Educational Resources at McMillen Health. There, she focused on providing crucial oral health education and training to non-profits across the U.S.
To stay sharp and up-to-date in her field, Chrissy is actively involved in the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA). She regularly attends continuing education sessions, reads extensively online and in dental journals, and networks with other dental professionals.
Outside the office, Chrissy enjoys spending quality time with her four children: Ashton, Scarlett, Piper, and Dominic. She loves going to concerts, cheering at her son’s football games, and has a creative side shown through her passion for redoing and refinishing furniture. At home, Chrissy is also busy with her two cats and two guinea pigs.
We are proud to have Chrissy as a part of our team, bringing her extensive experience and warm presence to Hale Dentistry. Next time you’re in, feel free to ask her about the latest concert she’s attended or the furniture project she’s working on!
